Widowed sounded better than divorced.

Or, at least it did the first time.

Despite having survived the trials and tribulations of The Diseased - Paige finds herself in a situation that seems even more impossible.

The President is dying.

Those four words set Paige’s life on a course she could never have predicted.

The President is dying. Paige can save him.

Those eight words are the only ones keeping her friends Georgia and Violet alive.

The President is dying. Paige can save him. She won’t.

It is those ten words that keep Paige motivated, that keep her sane.

Sophie is Paige and Paige is Sophie.

It’s as simple as that in my mind now. As I’m writing Paige’s thoughts and feelings down I hear them in Sophie’s voice, she gave life to my character I never expected and has brought the world of Paige Hanson completely to life.

I can’t recommend working with Sophie enough. Not only is she incredibly gifted but she’s also a pleasure to know. Two books down and we still aren’t sick of each other!!

  • This book was action-packed and fast-paced, and I read it in one sitting. In fact, once I started it I found it quite hard to put it down.
